The recent paintings are from photographs of a large scrapyard in Suffolk. I found the mix of shapes, colours, and the variety of images very exciting.
I have taken smaller and smaller images of these photographs enabling me to abstract and manipulate the picture and show the beauty of shape and texture, colour and tone. It is important for me to show there is beauty in that which is abandoned, to look and see things differently.
